HTTYD Dragon Manual Page 2: Classes Part 1

Before we gonna look at the differant Dragon-Species, lets take a look at the Classes. The Classes are based on the abillities of a Dragon, like powers, speed, personality and intelligence. The Classes are Stoker, Boulder, Fear, Sharp, Tidal, Mystery and Strike.

The Classes cannot be confused with Types. While Classes resemble the powers of a Dragon, Types resemble the family of the Dragon. For example, Skrills and Night Furies are both Strike-Class Dragons. But a Skrill is a Wyvern and a Night Fury is a Cat-Dragon. The types are:

Western: Four legs and two wings. Not all Dragons with these properties are Western Dragons.

Eastern: Four legs and most of them don't have wings.

Wyvern: Two legs and two wings. Not all Dragons with two wings and legs are Wyverns.

Multiple-heads: Dragons with two or more heads.

Water: Waterdragons live in or near the water.

Earth: Earth-Dragons are land-lovers who often can't fly.

Serpents: These Dragons have a long and thin body. Unlike there name says, some of them have legs and/or wings.

Marsupial: These Dragons have pouches.

Gargoyles: Human-like Dragons. They are one of the most intelligent Dragons and thanks to their thumbs, they can build and hold things.

Turtles: Turtle-Dragons have many armor and a hard skin.

Cats: Cat-Dragons are intelligent and swift hunters. They often prefer land to the sky. There are exceptions like the Night Fury.

Birds: Bird-Dragons have many charastics of Birds.

Bats: These Dragons have their wings on their front legs instead of on their back.

Insects: Insect-Dragons have the looks of a bug. An example is that they have insect-like wings instead of the traditional bat-wings.

Elemental: By far the most powerfull Dragons. Most Dragons have control over an element ,like fire or ice, but these Dragons ARE the elements.

Dinosaurs: These Dragons have a Dinosaur-like appearance. Some of them are exstinct

Tree-Dragons: These creatures live in trees and their life-style can be compared to the ones of monkeys and squirells.

Lizards: Lizard-Dragons have the anatomy of a regular lizard.

Griffins: It's kind of unknown if Griffins are Dragons. They are hybrids between differant birds and mammels. Mostly raptors and cats/ungulates.

That where the Types. Now lets take a look at the Classes.

Stoker

Stoker-Class Dragons are agressive,hot-headed fighters. They come in many differant sizes. From the small and cute Terrible Terror, to the big and scary Monstrous Nightmare.

Boulder

Boulder-Class Dragons are tough and strong, with often great defenses. Most of them have something to do with the element Earth. Examples are the Gronkle and Whispering Death.

Fear

Fear-Class Dragons have multiple heads, and are very sneaky and sly.

Sharp

Agile Dragons who spend a lot of time on their appearence. They are very vain. Examples are the Deadly Nadder and Timberjack.
